Chamorro Works is conducting a Chamorro Language Immersion Seminar in Seattle, WA, June 24-July 22, 2013. This introductory Chamorro language program is interactive and designed to get students speaking in Chamorro immediately. Through conversation and practice, students will learn grammatical concepts, develop vocabulary, and understand the new orthography. Students will also be introduced to Chamorro history, customs, and etymology (changes in the Chamorro language over time).

The Chamorro Language Immersion Seminar is a Chamorro Works production presented by hosts director Sheryl Day (Guam) and instructor Noel Quitugua (Saipan). Sheryl is pursuing her doctorate at the University of Washington Information School; Noel is an artist, researcher, retired teacher, and former curator of the CNMI Museum.
